Hi there -

I am still feeding some crickets; Charlie is also starting to eat more and more of her Squash.  I also offer collard greens daily too, but she's just not interested.  Also apple, blueberries and carrots occasionally.  I try and offer veggies first and then a couple crickets just before I leave for work in the morn.  I stopped feeding her meal worms and picked up a container of silkworms.  They are not alive, and need to be kept in the fridge as they come in a sealed tin.  Charlie loves them, and actually prefers them to crickets!  I like the idea of breeding crickets, but it's just not realistic to my lifestyle - Im a single parent to a six year old and work full time.  When were home, we want to spend our time with Charlie.  Charlie is becoming more and more a part of our evening routine - she has a bath in the bathroom sink while my son has a bath, then we go into my son's room, and Charlie snuggles with us while we do story time.  I honestly and sincerely want the healthiest and best for Charlie, and I've read that silkworms are the best kind of worms for them.  I did ask the local pet store if they could get roaches in, apparently we can't get them in Canada?!?

I would swear there was a tread about someone getting roaches in Canada.  Maybe if they read this they can PM you on how they did it.  I have never seen dead silks fed before.  I feed Boogie silks all of the time.  You can order them on line.  "mulberryfarms.com" or "coastalsilkworms.com"  not sure if I got the last one right.  You can google local places.  You can also supplement with butterworms and hornworms.  They are great treats.  Phoenix worms are great as well and can be used as a staple for one meal per day.  If you get them or the butterworms hold off on the calcium powder for that day.
