I've been doing a lot of reading lately & have found several people saying to get rid of the sand/walnut particle substrate and replace it with a reptile carpet.  I have a female bearded dragon & in my readings I have found articles and people saying that when a female is ready to lay her eggs she will look for a place to bury them & if she can't, she runs the risk of becoming egg bound.  Now I have no intention of breeding her but when she is ready to lay a batch of eggs, if I have the reptile carpet in there where will she lay the eggs with no place to dig or will she run the risk of being egg bound?  There is no male so they will be unfertilized but I was just curious and a little nervous about when that time comes.  Thanks for any help, I hope that all made since.

Makes sense.
I dont use particulate substrate.
When my girls are ready to lay they start digging in the corners of the viv.
I take them out and put them in my lay bin.
