Hey all, I have been doing alot of reading on beardies diets and am now totally confuesd! What is best for a stapel diet from my beardie? Hornworms, Silkworms Or Crickets??? I am talking nutritionaly first and cost effectiveness second. He is now 9weeks old and has had mainly a diet of Crickets, mealworms (as a treat) and greens.

Thanks!

Nutrition wise, silkworms are the best. Cost wise, crickets

I think you should quickly get him something along the soft bodied worms soon!! crix and mealies have too much chitin. the horns and the silks have more moisture. the horns grow too fast though.. so the silks are better.

You ever tried feeding them Black solider fly grubs? low in fat when compared to superworms and have high calcium so they dont need to be dusted.
