hiya, i went to feed Frank this morning and noticed that he has lost a nail on his back left foot. I have no idea how this happened, there is nothing in his viv he can catch it on and when we get him out we make sure he cant get to any heavy looped carpet. Also when i last got him out (day before yesterday) he was fine and i did not notice any problems. He seems alert and is currently hunting locusts in his viv but i am worried about his toe. Is there anything we can do to speed up healing apart from washing? and is he likely to hurt his toe if we install tile in the viv?

any advice would be great. Thank you

I think if you are not seeing any swelling, or active bleeding, if you just bathe the area with a tea colored beta dine/water mix this should help with preventing infections..

As for the tile... hold off on that until the area completely heals.. A soft towel or paper towels in the meantime will help that.

Hope this helps.
